Embroidery

I've been working with my embroidery machine trying to learn the ins and outs of it.  I enjoyed creating this shirt for my daughter.  Can you tell yet that she absolutely LOVES zebra print?!?  I had a little trouble with the hoop being too big for the shirt, and a couple of the stitches didn't do quite right; but all in all I'm pleased with the outcome.

I purchased a new, old ladder yesterday!

I went shopping yesterday and ended up stopping at a local antique mall.  I've been looking for some antique windows for my living room wall.  I didn't find any windows that I loved, but I did find a small, old ladder.  I have seen lots of cute decorating ideas using ladders lately, so I decided to buy it.  It was marked $23; but evidently that vendor's items were discounted, and it ended up only costing me $12!!  What a deal!

I am tossing a couple of different ideas around as to what I'm going to do with it.  I have thought about putting it on the wall and using it like a shelf, or I may put it in a corner in my breakfast room and use it like a shelf.

I am going to post pictures as soon as I can find the cord to download the pictures from my camera to the computer.

Wow, that was easy!

This is my first time blogging.  So far setting up my blog hasn't been too difficult.  We'll see how it goes improving on the page in days to come.
